Short of that, what else do I need to modify with the the 1. So, what I'd like to request is that the script be corrected so that it requests where Topaz Studio is actually installed rather than assuming it's on C:, and that it can adapt to newer versions if needed. ::setlocal enableextensions disabledelayedexpansionĮCHO Set fso = CreateObject("Scripting.FileSystemObject") > NULĮCHO Set oWS = WScript.CreateObject("WScript.Shell") > %SCRIPT%ĮCHO sLinkFile = "%psChosen%tltopazstudiops_圆4.lnk" > %SCRIPT%ĮCHO Set oLink = oWS.CreateShortcut(sLinkFile) > %SCRIPT%ĮCHO oLink.TargetPath = "%studio%" > %SCRIPT% Affinity Photo and Affinity Designer 1.7 are here Its our biggest update yet with GPU compute acceleration, HDR monitor support and a new memory management. ::Parse components.xml file for version number - reads last value I've long complained about software that arrogantly installs onto the system drive and I'm certainly not alone in that sentiment.Ĭontinuing though, the bat file only goes up to Ver. Filterforge and Nik Collection work fine in version 1.6 but can’t seem to load any plugins whatsoever in 1.7. The 1.7 versions of Affinity Designer and Affinity Photo have both been launched simultaneously on Mac, Windows and iPad. … which is NOT where I've installed Topaz Studio. Can’t seem to import plugins in version 1.7. SET studio=C:\Program Files\Topaz Labs\Topaz Studio\PS_Plugins_圆4\ One of the early lines sets an environmental variable: As it's a batch file, I examined it & now know why. I came across the Topaz Studio Photoshop Utility 1.0.4.zip though, but even that failed to accomplish the task. I've been wanting Topaz Studio to be listed in my Photoshop menu (I still use CS6), but it simply won't using the default install locations. I submitted a Help request to Topaz Studio Help Center a few days ago ( #134605) and never heard a peep, so after 3 days I figured I'd try here. Any other ideas? Topaz Studio is great for doing effects on a series of image frames - to make video animations - like regular Topaz is - it would be a shame not to have this feature which of course works for every Photoshop plugin.Īny suggestions appreciated - even advanced scripting Behavior: All exported items end up in Layer 0. Version 2.4 is here learn what’s new in our latest update The photo editor you’ve been dreaming of. DWG and DXF export added to Affinity Designer. Affinity Photo award-winning photo editing software. Layer States added to Affinity Designer and Affinity Publisher. This is a bug and I wish they would fix it ( I was told that currently batch is not supported in studio which sucks), but I was wondering if anyone knew a way around this - like is it defaulting to Impression Workflow because it is the top effect - can I cheat and move the current effect I want to the top so it my revert to that every time. Version 2.4 brings some key new features and improvements to the Affinity suite, which you can read all about below. Unfortunately this does not work in Studio Impression - while it runs the batch file on ALl images only the first images uses the correct selected effect in Impression all subsequent images revert to the (default?) Impression Workflow style. You have to check on/off to see if it’s the right one.I can batch process topaz impression in Photoshop (by making an action which calls impression plugin and then running file/automate/ batch with that action on a series of images in a folder) - I have been doing this for years. The extra time you spend looking for the right layer in Affinity Photo® adds up and it gets annoying when you simply can’t spot the right one easily when they all look the same. Affinity Photo is on our list of the best photo editing software right now. The newer ones from DxO work (with some issues) on Windows but apparently not on Macs. In concept it is cool that the layer mask is incorporated into the adjustment layers in Affinity Photo® but it also makes it very difficult to differentiate a simple mask from an adjustment layer at a glance. The free Google NIK plugins do work - just search the forums for info about that.

Even the folders look the same as the layers inside! This can get very confusing, specially when working with complex photo composites made out of dozens of layers and layer groups. I’m talking about the fact that all layers look the same on Affinity. But I do mind how visually homogenous it is. I don’t mind Affinity’s “check” icons on the right side of the panel for showing or hiding layers just like the “eye” icons on Photoshop’s left side.

Not only because it makes more sense to me but also for technical reasons about the interface of this panel. On this subject specifically I have to say I prefer Photoshop’s stacking system better. Affinity Photo users running version 1.6 of the software can download the beta of the 1.
